'It's nice to meet you' is a personal project I embarked on after having a rough start to my university experience. Having not made many friends during the first two terms and after spending a lot of time alone, I decided use my photography to reach out to the student community during Lent time. The project has not only been an opportunity to meet new people and form friendships, but also a chance to understand how other students around me from different backgrounds had found their experience of the pandemic, particularly with relation to their studies. Photos were taken at students' respective colleges (depending on COVID rules) or in London during the summer. I plan to continue with the portraits until the end of the year and hopefully bring them together in a photo book.
